House of Spread By FORM | Kouichi Kimura

Form/Kouichi Kimura was asked to design this house in Japanese-style. the home owner had special request to have Buddhist altar and living room which is connected to a Japanese room. So, they planned to create a one-storied building that surrounds a courtyard and the flat building reflects aesthetic values of the Japanese. In order to get Japanese taste, the designer made the living room and Japanese room become dim. We will get the brightness of the courtyard only when you get to the dining room beyond the living room, because neither of them faced the courtyard.

In different, the dining room, bed rooms, and bath room are faced with the courtyard where looks like abstraction of the Japanese garden. It is featured by natural rocks and tower that rises vertically from the exterior wall. the relation between the courtyard and each room has been considered to determine the position.

House of Integration By FORM | Kouichi Kimura In Japan

Such as other Japanese house, this house also stills keep the Japanese style in the home. otherwise,Form/ Kouichi Kimura also adds the modern style there. the designer created a spacious foyer in a center of first floor as a semi-exterior area. the space which evokes relation between the DOMA (dirt floor) and ZA (habitable space floor) often seen in the old Japanese folk dwellings, is connected with the couple’s bedroom, child room, bathroom, and stairway to the second floor. it can be used as the home owner’s necessity.

In the second floor, there are living room, dining room, and kitchen. the the line of sight is led by colors and lights when you go upstairs, to the idyllic scenery that spreads outside the opening. to complete this house, the designer used various materials and colors.

Small Interior Design Of a 30 Square Meter Apartment In Tokyo

The apartment features a bedroom, a dining room and a living room. There is also a balcony with lights, a table and chairs. That isn’t easy to live in a 30 square meter apartment. International Triennale of Kogei in Kanazawa, Japan by Nendo

Five agricultural growing tunnels stand inside a former book store in Kanazawa, Japan, for this exhibition designed by Japanese studio Nendo. Created for the inaugural International Triennale of Kogei, the installation provides five exhibition spaces to be curated separately, without disturbing the shop fittings that remain in place.

Micro House Japan Floor Plan

This japanese micro house plan is the The Showa-cho House located in Osaka, Japan in small limited space on 59 x 13 foot lot. Designed by Architect Fujiwara Muro, this micro house japan floor plan divides the area in public space and private space without using wall, the architects create a great solution in making a space transition between those private and public space by splitting the house in half with minimalist staircase.

This japanese micro house facade was created in transparent way using glass wall to floods the interior with natural daylight lighting in a simple modern interior touch. Set in a tightly-planned neighborhood in Osaka, the home makes the most of a limited lot. The face of the home is a fully glazed to maximize daylighting, and it’s set deep into the lot for privacy and to control heat gain in the summer.

The living space has two-story floor-to-ceiling windows, which makes the limited floor area seem much more generous. The centerpiece of the home is an elegantly ascending open staircase. The layout provides central access to the verticality of the floor plan but still allows for view corridors from front to back — a smart strategy to keep the home from feeling claustrophobic.

The home’s vertical program balances public and private spaces while providing the interior spaces with plenty of natural light. Centrally-located skylights work with the home’s open, airy floor plan to allow daylight to penetrate down to the bottom floor. The kitchen and dining area is a sublime integrated space that is enhanced by contrasting finishes. The bath features a full-height mirror that enhances its visual size and functionality. The sink and counter seem to hover in the middle of the space as a result.
